Under Armour has teamed up with HTC to launch several wearable fitness devices and it appears that the company wants to continue its quest of becoming a big player in this market. It has hinted that several new products could be launched in the coming year. Given that the company showed off its existing products at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year in January, it’s quite likely that an announcement might be made at CES 2017 in January next year.

Under Armour’s HealthBox family of connected fitness devices was launched in January this year. It includes a heart rate monitoring chest strap, a fitness tracker called UA Band as well as a smart scale. The company also built heart rate monitoring headphones with Harman which were added to this family later.

The company’s chief digital officer Mike Lee has hinted to Wareable that new products might be announced in the coming year. Lee was asked where Under Armour was going to launch devices different from the ones we’ve already seen, his response to that was the company has a “plan to make more announcements on this front in early 2017.”

Lee’s hint that an announcement could be made early next year lines up nicely with the expectation that we might hear more about this at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 which takes place in Las Vegas come January.
