Samsung released the fourth Nougat beta for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge just last week and the company today sent out a new Nougat beta build for its 2016 flagship. The company has been running its Galaxy Beta Program for a few weeks now through which it allows select owners of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge to try beta builds of Nougat before they’re eventually released to the public early next year.

The fifth Nougat beta build for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge has been released today. Samsung started rolling it out to Galaxy Beta Program members in South Korea and the United Kingdom earlier today.

The latest beta weighs in at over 300MB and includes device stability improvements, bug fixes, feature improvements, and performance tweaks. It also fixes the intermittent rebooting issue that some Galaxy S7 owners were facing after updating their handsets to the Nougat beta build Samsung sent out last week.

One feature enhancement that’s particularly evident in the latest beta is that notifications on the lock screen are now transparent. This means that the wallpaper will remain visible at all times regardless of how many notifications are being displayed.

Samsung is yet to confirm when it’s going to publicly release Android 7.1.1 Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
