Pink Lines Showing Up On Some Galaxy S7 Edge Displays

galaxy-s7-edge-pink-lineThe Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is approaching a year old which means it isn’t terribly old as far as smartphones are concerned. However it seems that there are signs that the hardware might be getting a bit old, at least for some users who are reporting that a pink link is showing up on one side of their display, as you can see in the photos above.

It is unclear as to what is causing the pink line and whether or not it could be a hardware or software problem. It has been suggested that maybe it is a software problem as some users have found some success in fixing the display by resetting it (dial *#0*# to enter your phone’s service menu, then click Red, Green, Blue to reset the individual pixels).

However some users are saying that pressing on the top of the screen near the Samsung logo causes the line to disappear for a short period of time, which would seem to suggest that maybe it’s a hardware problem.

Either way Samsung has yet to respond to the issue so for now and until then, you’re on your own when it comes to getting it fix. Some users have reported that they were able to take it in to Samsung who repaired their device for them under warranty, while others were forced to pay a fee to get it fixed, which we guess depends on when you bought your device.

It is unclear how widespread this problem is but there have been multiple posts made on Samsung’s forums and Reddit, so if you are experiencing something similar do let us know in the comments below.
