Second Nokia 6 Flash Sale Due January 26th

HMD Global has revived the Nokia brand and brought it back to the smartphone market. Its Nokia 6 handset has been making waves recently as more than one million registrations were received for the device before its first flash sale in which it sold out in under one minute. Registrations have now crossed 1.4 million prior to the second Nokia 6 flash sale due January 26th.

Nokia 6 is the first Android-powered handset that HMD Global announced this year. It features a 5.5 inch display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The handset also features a 16 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front camera, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 7.0 Nougat straight out of the box.

Granted, the specifications are nothing to write home about, but it does offer robust specifications at a very attractive price. The company is selling this device online in China via JD.com for approximately $250.

It’s a pretty good option at that price and the consumer response so far appears to be in line with the company’s expectations. The registrations from people interested in picking up this device continue to come in.

Keep in mind that HMD Global has received 1.4 million registrations for this handset and it doesn’t necessarily mean that all of them will be converted into pre-orders and orders. Nevertheless, there does appear to be demand for Nokia-branded handsets and with more models due in the coming months, HMD Global just might be on to something here.
