WhatsApp Beta Images Hint At Recall And Edit Features

It appears that two much-awaited features may soon be released for the most widely used cross-platform messaging service in the world. Leaked images of what appears to be a beta version of WhatsApp have surfaced online and they suggest that “recall” and “edit” features may soon be offered to users. It looks like these images are from a beta version of the WhatsApp for Android app.

As the name suggests, the recall feature will allow users to retract a message that they’ve already sent but hasn’t been read by the recipient. It’s a feature that many other cross-platform messaging apps already offer so it will certainly be nice if WhatsApp provides the same feature to its countless users across the globe.

The edit feature is one that users will certainly be looking forward to. It will enable users to edit messages that they have sent already, provided that the message has not been read by the recipient. Both of these features are already available in apps like Telegram and BBM.

It appears that both of these features will be turned off by default so users will have to manually enable them. The Facebook-owned company is yet to confirm when it’s going to release the edit and recall features for all users on iOS and Android.
