Logitech ZeroTouch Lets You Use Amazon Alexa In Any Car

Logitech today announced that its ZeroTouch Air Vent and ZeroTouch Dashboard car mounts for Android bring Amazon Alexa to any car. This will enable users to use their voice to interact with Alexa and control their smart home devices through it right from the driver’s seat. Users will be able to control smart devices like locks, thermostats, and lights while they’re on the road with just their voice.

Alexa is Amazon’s virtual personal assistant. To say that it’s powerful would be an understatement. Alexa is capable of doing a lot of things courtesy some 8,000 “skills” that are available for it. For example, Alexa can create to-do lists, read news, order products, control smart home devices like locks and lights, and much more.

“Voice is the future, and this is particularly true in cars. The ability to use your voice to control your smart home, manage to-do lists, access Kindle content, and more makes for a safer, more enjoyable driving experience,” said Aaron Brown, Director of Amazon Alexa.

This is a far simpler and cheaper way to get Amazon Alexa in the car without actually having to change your entire car. We did see car manufacturers integrate Alexa into their new vehicles at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017 last month so there will be cars on the road in the near future that will feature Alexa by default but if you don’t want to shell out big money on a new car, best opt for Logitech’s ZeroTouch products.

Logitech ZeroTouch Air Vent and ZeroTouch Dashboard can now be purchased via the company’s website and Amazon for $59.99 and $79.99 respectively.
