iPhone 7 Plus Used To Photograph Conde Nast Magazine Covers

You might have seen videos that show behind-the-scenes of magazine cover photoshoots, where it seems like a lot of expensive equipment like lighting, backdrops, and cameras are used. However if you’re looking for a bit of inspiration that won’t necessarily break the bank, Conde Nast’s magazine covers for “Bon Appetit” and “Traveler” might be of interest to you.

Why is this, you ask? This is because according to the publisher, the latest covers for two of its magazines were shot using an iPhone 7 Plus. Of course this does not mean that things like lighting were not considered, but it goes to show how far technology has come in terms of quality of photos and what not.

According to Bon Appetit’s creative director Alex Grossman, “The iPhone lens is how we look at photography now. It changes the whole process and feel of a photo shoot, making it more intimate, less invasive, more nimble. We wanted to create something our readers would relate to. This is technology completely changing how the publishing and design industries are moving forward.”

This isn’t the first time that we’re seeing how technology these days are changing the way we used to do things. For example earlier this year the cover of The New Yorker was actually drawn up using the iPad Pro.
