SNES Classic Edition In Japan Will Have Exclusive Titles

Nintendo announced the SNES Classic Edition just yesterday and with the console, they also announced 21 games that would come preloaded on it. Unsurprisingly it turns out that Nintendo has a different version of the console for Japan, and with the Japan console it looks like there will be titles exclusive to it.

Last year with the NES Classic Edition, Japan got theirs in the form of the Mini Famicom which was basically the same console with a different design, which is why we’re not surprised that Nintendo is repeating that again this year. With the Japanese version of the SNES Classic Edition, it will feature five exclusive titles that will not be available to the European or North American market.

This includes Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, The Legend of Mystical Ninja, Panel de Pon, Super Soccer, and Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers. Now to be fair, the European and North American markets will have their own exclusives in the form of Earthbound, Kirby’s Dream Course, Street Fighter 2′ Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Castlevania 4, and Super Punch-Out!!

We guess depending on your preferences, some gamers might find the Japan version to be “better”, but since gamers can really install new games on the console, either buy both versions of pick one and make do with what you’ve got. The SNES Classic Edition is currently set for a release on the 29th of September later this year.
