Moto Z2 Force Price Quietly Reduced By Motorola

It hasn’t been long since Motorola unveiled its new high-end smartphone, the Moto Z2 Force. The handset was launched with a full retail price of $800. That’s expensive by any standard. It appears that Motorola has taken the initial feedback under consideration because it appears that the company has quietly reduced the full retail price of the Moto Z2 Force.

The first generation Moto Z2 Force was sold for $720 so it was a bit surprising that Motorola decided to make the second-generation handset more expensive by an additional $80. The company also pushed its Moto Mods that can cost up to $300 so customers would have to spend over $1000 if they wanted functionality offered by the modular components.

The folks at AndroidPolice have spotted that Motorola has quietly reduced the Moto Z2 Force’s price. It’s now listed on Motorola’s website for $720 which is the same price as last year’s model.

Customers who purchase it on financing via Moto can now get the handset for $30 per month as opposed to $33 per month previously.

The handset is now available via Motorola slightly cheaper than what carriers are asking for it. Carrier listings for the Moto Z2 Force average around $750 and it remains to be seen if they drop the price as well to bring it in line with Motorola’s.
