Marshall Upgrades Its Wireless Speakers With Multi-Room Audio

#IFA2017 – The benefit to wireless speakers is that you can place them anywhere, which in theory should allow you to create a multi-room setup. However Marshall’s previous wireless speakers were unfortunately missing that feature, or at least until now where at IFA 2017, the company has updated its wireless lineup with support for multi-room audio.

The company has upgraded three of its more popular wireless speaker models: the Acton, the Stanmore, and the Woburn. Apart from introducing multi-room audio support, some of the changes that are being made to the speakers include an updated control panel where there will now be a new dial where users can adjust between choosing WiFi, Bluetooth, preset internet radio, or Spotify stations.

The other dials will also allow users to adjust the sound of the speakers, such as volume, bass, and treble. In addition to multi-room support, the upgraded speakers will also support Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay, and there will also be a 3.5mm audio in jack, meaning that there will be a ton of connectivity options for users to choose from.

Pre-orders for these upgraded speakers will begin today, the 1st of September, and will be shipping out to customers on the 21st of September. They are priced at $350 for the Acton, $450 for the Stanmore, and $600 for the Woburn.
