Tomb Raider 2 Gets Remade In Unreal Engine 4

When Tomb Raider first came out, many considered it to be an amazing-looking game, or at least considering what kind of technology we had back in the day. It was also kind of groundbreaking in terms of graphics and gameplay, but fast forward to today, and it is clear that the older Tomb Raider titles certainly did not withstand the test of time.

However the good news is that if you’re a fan of the franchise, you’ll be pleased to learn that Tomb Raider fan Nicobass has decided to take it upon himself to remake Tomb Raider 2 using Unreal Engine 4. Dubbed “The Dagger of Xian”, this is a remake of the second title in the Tomb Raider franchise and so far he has managed to put out a playable demo, which you can see in the video above looks pretty damn good.

The Unreal Engine 4 is an amazing engine that we’ve seen used in countless video games as well as various video game remakes. Judging from what we can see, it seems that this remake could very well pass off as a modern title. Like we said a playable demo is available for download and you can head on over to its website if you’d like to get your hands on it.
