Hulu Becomes The First Major Streaming Service For Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch owners who have been waiting for a major streaming service to launch its app for their console will be pleased to find out that Hulu has become the first major streaming service for Nintendo’s console. Hulu confirmed today that it’s the first major U.S. streaming entertainment service to launch an app for Nintendo Switch.

Starting today, Hulu subscribers can use their Nintendo Switch to stream their favorite content from Hulu no matter where they might be.

Nintendo Switch owners can download the Hulu app for their console directly from the Nintendo eShop. The app will give them access to Hulu’s traditional content library as well as the Live TV service which provides access to more than 50 top news, entertainment, and sports channels. Hulu’s Live TV service has all five major U.S. broadcast networks onboard.

The core Hulu service that only provides access to the content library costs $7.99 per month while Hulu with Live TV costs $39.99 per month. All subscribers get the ability to add up to six profiles and purchase premium add-ons like HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax.

Other popular streaming services are still missing, namely Netflix and YouTube. Given that Hulu has now launched an app for the Nintendo Switch, it may not be long before we see its rivals launching their own apps for the Switch. That will be great for console owners as they will get more services to choose from.
