Razer Phone 2 Release Expected In September 2018

Razer launched its first smartphone ever late last year and we’re already hearing rumors about the Razer Phone’s successor. According to a new rumor, the Razer Phone 2 release is likely going to take place in September this year. If that’s accurate it would mean that the handset is going to be released a couple of months earlier than its predecessor.

The original Razer Phone came out in November 2017 and many would expect that its successor would be released around the same time in 2018. That’s not what this rumor will have you believe. It claims that the Razer Phone 2 is actually going to be released in September 2018.

The rumor also claims that the Razer Phone 2 is likely going to be launched alongside the commercial version of Razer’s Project Linda. Razer unveiled this concept at CES 2018 last week.

It’s a 13.3 inch notebook that users the Razer Phone as its touchpad and power package while it houses an extra battery and onboard storage. This enables the Razer Phone to offer a hybrid mobile experience for both gaming and productivity.

No further details have been revealed about the Razer Phone 2 so it’s unclear what sort of specifications we might be looking at when it does arrive. It goes without saying that it’s definitely going to be a step up from the original Razer Phone.

We’re certainly going to hear a lot more about the Razer Phone 2 this year before it’s eventually released in the fall.
