Samsung Adds New Features To Gear IconX (2018)

Samsung today announced that it’s adding some new features to the Gear IconX (2018). The Gear IconX is what the company calls its wireless activity tracking earbuds that have a cord-free design and are capable of standalone music playback. It developed this device for those who live an active lifestyle and the Gear IconX offers features that allow the users to get the most out of these activity tracking earbuds.

Samsung says that the latest software update for the Gear IconX (2018) makes it even easier for users to maximize their workouts. The update adds new ways to customize the listening experience and also streamlines how users fill their device with their favorite tracks.

There’s a new Equalizer feature included in this update which lets users quickly adjust the audio frequency to optimal levels from five presets which include Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear and Treble Boost. The Gear IconX has had a standalone music player ever since it was first launched and it now gets a new Wireless Transfer feature which lets users wirelessly add multiple tracks to the earbuds at once.

Users can now decide how much ambient sound they want the earbuds to let in with the improved Ambient Sound function. This lets them pay attention to the sounds around them and it’s going to be particularly useful when running or cycling outdoors. The new Voice Focus function can be used indoor to amplify the voice of people in users’ surroundings.

The latest software update for the Gear IconX (2018) is now available for download from the Samsung Gear app.
