Bandai Namco Wants To Release More Games On The Nintendo Switch

During the Wii U era, it seemed like many developers and publishers avoided it like the plague (customers included). While the console generated a fair amount of interest at the start as it was piggybacking off the success of the Wii, it was soon quickly abandoned. The Nintendo Switch on the other hand tells a very different story.

In fact in a recent tweet by The Wall Street Journal’s Takashi Mochizuki, he reports that during Bandai Namco’s earnings press conference, the company expressed their interest in bringing more of its games onto the Switch. According to the company, this is due to the fact that the Switch has the appeal of being able to play anywhere at anytime and by anyone. The company did not mention any titles specifically, but their interest is encouraging.

Bandai Namco is already set to launch Dragon Ball FighterZ on the Switch where it is already a very highly-anticipated title. The company also recently announced new Taiko no Tatsujin titles for the Switch where they would be released in the west. It remains to be seen what other games the company would bring onto the Switch, but we’re sure that there are probably Switch users who wouldn’t mind seeing titles like Tekken find its way onto the console.
