Motorola Confirms There Will Not Be A Moto Z3 Force

Earlier Motorola announced the Moto Z3. This is the company’s latest handset and will be launched exclusively on Verizon later this month. This means that as far as the Moto Z lineup for 2018 is concerned, we have the Moto Z3 Play and the Moto Z3, and given that last year we got the Moto Z2 Force, does this mean that we can expect a Moto Z3 Force as well?

For those who are hoping that this will happen, you’ll be disappointed to learn that Motorola has no plans for a Moto Z3 Force, or for that matter no plans for anymore Moto Z handsets for the rest of 2018. This was confirmed by Motorola themselves on Twitter where in response to a user asking about the Moto Z3 Force, Motorola replied by saying that they will no longer be launching anymore Moto Z handsets this year.

This is actually a bit strange because when you think about it, Motorola seems to have skipped out on launching high-end flagship smartphones for 2018. The Moto Z3 is no slouch given its use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chipset, but considering that we’re seeing flagships from other brands launch with the Snapdragon 845, it doesn’t look so good for the company.

The upside is that at the very least the Moto Z3 will support 5 thanks to the 5G Moto Mod accessory that will launch later this year.
