Samsung May Offer One Galaxy S10 Model With Flat Display

Samsung previously offered its Galaxy S flagships with flat and curved displays but that changed with the Galaxy S8. It has since offered both models with curved displays but a new rumor out of China suggests that this might change with the Galaxy S10. Samsung is expected to offer three different models of the next flagship and it’s now said that at least one of those models could have a flat display.

Previous reports have suggested that there will be three models of the Galaxy S10. The third model will actually be a more affordable variant of the new flagship. This model may only have a single camera at back, may not have a display-based fingerprint sensor, and now it’s also expected to not feature Samsung’s curved display.

The rumor claims that the three models of the Galaxy S10 will include one that has a 5.8 inch flat display. The other two models, which will be successors to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, are expected to feature 5.8 inch and 6.44 inch curved displays respectively.

This rumor might make sense given that the entry-level model is meant to be more affordable and opting for the flat display will certainly allow the company to lower the price point of this device. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen. Samsung is due to announce the Galaxy S10 early next year.
