Latest Google Pixel 3 Update Will Fix The Phone’s Camera Issues

It is a pretty well-established fact that the Google Pixel 3’s camera has come a very long way from the early days of the Nexus and Pixel handsets. Whether or not it’s the best is debatable, but it’s hard to ignore the fact that it does a pretty damn good job (you can check out our review of the Pixel 3’s camera here). Unfortunately recently the camera has been acting up a bit, but the good news is that Google has since fixed it.

In the latest patch released for the Pixel 3, Google has confirmed that the patch will be addressing some of the issues with the phone’s camera, namely in terms of startup time and also responsiveness. Hopefully this will put an end to complaints from users who feel that the phone’s camera is too laggy or slow to launch.

In addition to fixing the camera, Google has also announced that the update will address other performance issues with the phone. This includes improved recovery in the instance of an OTA update failure, improved storage performance, improved Bluetooth reliability, and also improvements on playback of encrypted media on some video apps.

The update should already be live so if you own the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL, then you should already be prompted to update. If you haven’t, you can try to manually fetch it by going to your phone’s settings and pull it manually.
