Huawei Reportedly Launching Two New Smartwatches Soon

Huawei launched the Huawei Watch GT last year but the smartwatch wasn’t powered by Wear OS, Google’s wearable operating system. It’s powered by Lite OS which is made by the company itself. According to a new report, Huawei has two additional models of the Watch GT in the pipeline and both of them will run on the company’s own operating system.

The report mentions that the new Huawei Watch GT Active and the Huawei Watch GT Elegant will have the same 1.39 inch display as the existing Watch GT. However, both of them are said to feature different bezel designs.

No additional details are available at this point in time so it’s unclear if the changes are more than just cosmetic. For example, whether the new smartwatches feature improved internals or additional sensors. That’s not known at this point in time.

It’s pertinent to note that both upcoming models are said to be slightly more expensive than the original Watch GT. This would suggest that the company has made additional improvements over and above the cosmetic changes. Huawei is yet to say anything about two new smartwatch so it’s not clear right now when the company is planning on launching the Watch GT Active and Watch GT Elegant.
