Ninja Ditches Twitch To Stream On Mixer Exclusively

Tyler Blevins, best known as Ninja, is one of the most popular Fortnite players on the planet and one of the most popular stars on Twitch. He has announced today that he’s leaving Twitch and will now be streaming exclusively on Mixer. He called this move “the next chapter” in a tweet.

Mixer is also a gameplay streaming service. Owned by Microsoft, it’s nowhere near as big as Twitch, but it’s going to draw in a significant number of users now as it has managed to steal Ninja away from Twitch and will be the only place where his fans will be able to watch him play games.

Ninja posted a brief video online after tweeting about this major change, saying that he had been holding on to this announcement for quite some time. “I’m just super excited to let everyone know. I’ll be streaming on Mixer full-time now and I’m honestly at a loss for words. I’m freaking out in the best ways. I feel like I’m going to get back to the streaming roots,” he added. He also mentions that his streams will remain “the exact same” which means his fans will still be able to watch him play his favorite game.

“We’ve loved watching Ninja on Twitch over the years and are proud of all that he’s accomplished for himself and his family, and the gaming community. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” said a spokesperson for Twitch.
