Acer Announces New Predator Triton 300, Triton 500 Gaming Laptops

When it comes to gaming laptops, Acer’s Predator series of laptops are actually pretty well known. If you’re thinking about getting one, then you’ll be pleased to learn that at IFA 2019, Acer announced a couple of new gaming laptops. These come in the form of the Acer Predator Triton 300 and the Predator Triton 500.

Starting with the Triton 300, this is a gaming laptop aimed at gamers whose priority is mobility. Acer boasts that the Triton 300 weighs just 2.3kg, which while not exactly light, is still pretty light compared to larger gaming laptops. Under the hood, we’re looking at the use of Intel’s 9th Gen Core i7 processor coupled with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, with support for up to 32GB of RAM, 2x 1TB SSDs for those who need the extra storage, and a regular 2TB HD. It also sports a 15.6-inch Full HD display that boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time.

As for the Triton 500, it is expected to share some similar specs to the Triton 300, but there will be one main difference. While it will also sport a 15.6-inch Full HD display the Triton 500 will actually come with a 300Hz refresh rate. In terms of pricing and availability, Acer has priced at Triton 300 at EUR 1,299 and it is expected to launch in the EMEA region this October.

The Triton 500 on the other hand will be launching in North America this December where it will be priced at a whopping $2,799.
