Google Stadia Will Be Launching On November 19

Earlier this year, Google confirmed that they would be launching their game streaming service, Stadia, this coming November. Now the company has confirmed when exactly in November it will be launching, and if you’re interested, you’ll want to mark the date down for the 19th of November.

This was announced at Google’s Pixel event where the company also announced their new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones. For those who are unfamiliar, Stadia is a game streaming service by Google. The company had previously shown off its streaming technology where gamers could stream a copy of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey in their Chrome browser, highlighting the ability to play games anywhere they want.

Stadia will be available in both free and a paid subscription model, with the main difference being that the paid version will allow gamers to play games at 4K while the free version is capped at Full HD. There will also be a library of games that gamers can access, although these games will be mostly older games.

Google has clarified that Stadia is not the Netflix for games. Gamers will still need to purchase games to play them. Gamers who are interested can go ahead and pre-order the Founder’s Edition and Premiere Edition.
