Pico Neo 2 Eye VR Headset Announced With Eye Tracking

Virtual reality is designed to be an immersive experience, but it still lacks certain features that will make users truly feel like they are immersed in a virtual world. This is where Pico’s latest offering comes in, in the form of the Pico Neo 2 Eye in which this standalone VR headset will incorporate Tobii’s eye tracking technology.

However, before you get too excited about getting your hands on it, Pico notes that the Neo 2 Eye is designed mainly for enterprise users. According to Henry Zhou, CEO of Pico Interactive, “The Neo 2 Eye is a VR headset built for business, offering excellent visual quality, great support, and sophisticated design.”

He adds, “The addition of Tobii eye tracking leads to a more intuitive interface and better graphics performance. Additionally, eye tracking enables user insights that add significant value to use cases such as training and education.” The Neo 2 Eye will also be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 Mobile XR platform.

In addition to the Neo 2 Eye, there will also be a standard version of the headset in the form of the Neo 2. The main difference between both models is the eye tracking technology. The Neo 2 and Neo 2 Eye are expected to go on sale later this year with the former being priced at $699, while the latter will retail for $899.
