Nintendo’s Game Builder Garage Lets Gamers Create And Share Their Own Switch Games

If you have little to no experience when it comes to programming, the idea of creating your own game from scratch seems rather daunting. However, we have seen various developers create tools that make the development process easier, and it looks like Nintendo is jumping in with a new Switch software called the Game Builder Garage.

According to Nintendo, “With this new software, kids and parents and everyone in between can have fun learning to create and share their very own video games. By connecting colorful creatures called Nodon, anyone can enjoy learning how to create their own game through fun, guided lessons that cover the basics of visual game programming – and no prior experience is necessary!”

It sounds like this is a tool catered more towards kids who want to learn the basics about programming in a fun and lighthearted manner, although we suppose if you’re an adult looking to start off slow and simple, this could help teach you some of the basics as well. In a way, this kind of reminds us of other game development tools aimed at beginners, such as RPG Maker.

The Game Builder Garage is expected to launch on the 11th of June and it will be sold for $30.
