HP Spectre x360 14 And 16 Upgraded With Intel’s Core Ultra SoCs And More

At CES 2024, HP unveiled updates to its flagship HP Spectre x360 14 and 16 2-in-1s, showcasing improvements such as Intel’s Core Ultra processors, high-resolution webcams, OLED screens, and Wi-Fi 7 options.

Key shared features between the laptops include up to 32GB of soldered RAM, a PCIe Gen 4 SSD offering storage options up to 2TB, and 2880 x 1800 OLED displays at 120Hz (adjustable down to 48Hz). Both models retain the design with diagonal cut corners for corner ports, with the Spectre x360 14 coming in black, blue, and silver, while the 16-inch version is available in black and blue.

The 14-inch x360, ranging from Intel Core Ultra 5 125H to Core Ultra 7 155H, and the 16-inch version starting with the Core Ultra 7 155H, feature Intel’s integrated Arc graphics. The 16-inch model offers an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU option for increased power. With the introduction of the Core Ultra chips, the laptops transition from U and P series processors to the H series with Meteor Lake, marking a performance boost with a 28W part.

A notable addition is the 9-megapixel webcam with hardware-assisted low-light adjustment. The camera is central to AI-driven features, including a walk-away lock for enhanced privacy and screen dimming when not in focus. HP SmartSense is another feature that uses AI to detect user activities and adjust thermal profiles accordingly.

For connectivity, some configurations support Wi-Fi 7 (catering to enthusiasts upgrading their routers), while others include Wi-Fi 6E.
