Google +1

It looks like Google has begun to realize the power of crowd-sourcing data and has updated their search engine to reflect that. Users now have the ability to “like” a result by hitting the +1 link on a search result or ad to say that they found it useful. If the link was recommended by a friend, his/her name will even show up at the bottom, to let you know that you can probably rely on the link. Whatever you +1 will show up on your friends’ search results as well. A pretty cool feature especially if you have a large social network online. As usual, you’ll need a Google profile for it to work – if not how will Google know who your friends are? Hit the break to watch a video introduction to the +1 button:
