One of the most highly anticipated games of the next-generation of consoles has to be Titanfall. The shooter will be exclusive to Microsoft platforms as it’s expected to be released March 2014 on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC machines, which means future owners of the PlayStation 4 will unfortunately be missing out on the game. Although you shouldn’t completely count a Titalfall game making its way to other platforms out of the realm of possibility.

Electronic Arts’ CFO Blake Jorgensen said Titanfall is completely exclusive to the Xbox platform, which includes the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. That leads those who own a PlayStation 4 to think they’ll never get a chance to play the game on their next-generation gaming platform of choice, although there may be a ray of hope for the possibility of its sequel becoming available on Sony’s console in the future.

Titanfall game studio Respawn Entertainment’s co-founder Vince Zampella was recently asked whether or not the Titanfall series will be exclusive to Microsoft’s platforms, to which he responded “just this release.” Considering the Titanfall has yet to be released, PlayStation 4 owners will understandably be waiting a long time for its sequel to be released, so if you really want to play the game, you better make some friends with people who own an Xbox One, Xbox 360 or a PC that’s powerful enough to run the game.
