apple_watchThe Apple Watch Edition is Apple’s highest-end smartwatch which starts at $10,000 and goes up to $17,000. Now perhaps to create some sense of exclusivity, there was a recent rumor that suggested that not many Apple Stores would carry the device in-store and this has since been confirmed by the folks at MacRumors who tracked the stores down via the Find Locations tool on Apple’s website.

So far based on their search, it has been revealed that there will only be 53 stores around the world that will carry the Apple Watch Edition. These stores span countries such as the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, and China. China alone has 12 out of their 19 stores carrying the device which is actually quite a high proportion compared to other countries, but apparently this is because  Apple expects China to be a major contributor to its Apple Watch Edition sales.

Whether or not that turns out to be true remains to be seen. Pre-orders of the Apple Watch will be kicking off tomorrow and if you want to get your hands on the device, it should be noted that you will not be able to queue for it. Instead if you want to try it out, you will be able to pop on over to an Apple Store and test it out in 15 minute windows. Those who are interested in purchasing will have to do so by placing an order online.
