SpidermanThe first modern day Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire made its debut back in 2002 which is about 14 years ago. In that span of time, the movie has been rebooted twice, with the second reincarnation starring Andrew Garfield, and the upcoming third starring Tom Holland who will be making his debut in Captain America: Civil War.

Now obviously Holland will be getting his own Spider-Man movie which is set for a debut in 2017, but the question is, what does Sony plan on calling it? Thanks to a domain registration spotted by the BBC, it seems that Sony has registered the URL for SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com, indicating that Spider-Man Homecoming could be a possible title for the film.

So far based on reactions online, it seems that not many are too thrilled by the title, however we should note that this might not necessarily be final. After all there have been times when URLs are registered simply to protect intellectual property from being misused. However there have also been times, like with James Bond’s Skyfall, where the URL has given away the name.

That being said, Homecoming could be an appropriate title given that back in the day, Homecoming was a series of Marvel comics so it might not necessarily be a stretch. In any case it’s best taken with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys make of it?
