mountain-dew-titanfallVideo game promotions being tied into other products aren’t new. For example in DotA 2, players could unlock special character costumes and items by purchasing certain gaming peripherals, which is why it doesn’t come as a surprise to learn that with the upcoming Titanfall 2, EA could be teaming up with Mountain Dew to help promote the game.

This is thanks to a report from GamingBolt who managed to get their hands on a photo which you can see to the right. It shows that EA might be trying to promote the game through Mountain Dew, in which if you buy the drink, you will be able to redeem codes for Titanfall 2 that will boost your XP and give you Titan rewards.

Now we know for a fact that Titanfall 2 is for real. The official teaser trailer was released last month and EA is expected to make the official announcement and reveal early next month. Its release however is said to be pegged for the 1st of October, which is a bit odd for Mountain Dew to start releasing promotional bottles for a game that is still months away from being released.

It is possible that maybe these bottles are just samples of the promotions that EA and Mountain Dew are planning to release, but either way we guess we’ll find out more next month, so check back with us then for the details.
