Lumia_950_2The existence of the Surface Phone is really anyone’s guess at the moment. However recently there was a glimmer of hope when Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella hinted that the company was working on the “ultimate mobile device”. Now thanks to Nokia Power User, alleged specs have surfaced.

Unsurprisingly one of the rumored specs of the Surface Phone includes the use of the Snapdragon 835 chipset is expected to be Qualcomm’s flagship chipset for 2017. The report also says that Microsoft is currently prototyping two phones: one with 4GB of RAM, and one with 6GB of RAM.

4GB might seem low compared to some Android phones, but note that since Microsoft controls the operating system, they will probably be able to optimize it, kind of like how Apple’s iPhones feature less RAM than the competition, but yet somehow are faster than the competition.

The rumor also says that we can look forward to a 5.5-inch QHD display, but NPU points out that this is based on what their sources saw, and not actual measurements. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information in the future.
