Ever since Google launched the first Google Home device, the company has since become rather aggressive when it comes to pushing out more Google Home devices, like we’ve seen with the Google Home Mini and Home Max which launched late last year. They also seem to be doing pretty well, according to Google.

In a blog post that details some of what Google plans to share at CES 2018 next week, Google also revealed how many Google Home units that they’ve managed to sell, which according to their stats, has been more than one unit sold per second since the release of the Home Mini back in October 2017.

Based on that, it seems that from October till today, Google would have sold more than half a million Google Home units. “With Google Home Mini and Google Home Max in addition to our original Google Home, we brought you even more ways to use the Assistant in your home. So it’s no wonder we’ve sold tens of millions of all our Google devices for the home over this last year. And in fact, we sold more than one Google Home device every second since Google Home Mini started shipping in October.”

While those are indeed impressive figures, it should be pointed out that a recent report has revealed that companies like Google and Amazon apparently made little to no money during the holiday sales of smart speakers, due to the prices being slashed so heavily to encourage impulse purchases.
