With Amazon and Google experiencing a huge amount of success with its smart speakers, it’s not surprising that other companies such as Samsung have tossed their hat into the ring. In fact the rumors are claiming that Samsung’s Bixby-powered smart speaker could be launched in the coming weeks.

However we’re sure some are wondering what the device could be called, and thanks to a recent trademark filing (via SamMobile), we have learnt that the speaker could be known as Magbee. That being said, there’s no guarantee that the speaker will be known as Magbee, and that the trademark filing does not specifically hint at it being the rumored device in question.

What led to the speculation is the fact that the trademark filing mentions that the name could be used to cover a variety of products, including “audio speakers”. Either way we suppose this is something we’ll have to wait and see what the device could end up being known as. Like we said, the speakers have been reported to be announced in the coming weeks.

Given that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been confirmed for a launch on the 9th of August, we expect that the speaker could be announced alongside the smartphone as well as the rumored Galaxy Watch.
