AT&T Agrees To Provide Unlock Codes For Most Devices Sans The iPhone

Frustrated that AT&T isn’t providing you with the unlock codes for the phone you purchased from them? Unless you’re running an iPhone (or a few other devices), you should be quite happy to hear that AT&T has settled a class action lawsuit by agreeing to provide the unlock codes for phones that are bound to AT&T. Unfortunately this doesn’t include the iPhone that is bound by an exclusivity agreement with the carrier until 2012 (unless the deal has been changed). Of course, some users claim to have asked for and received the unlock codes for certain devices from AT&T before this, but it’s nice to have some legal backing. Customers who are eligible include:
