Let The Quintetto Use Fishes To Play You Music

Having trouble deciding what kind of soothing sounds or music you want to unwind to everyday? If you’re into weird solutions, you could always check out the Quintetto by Quiet Ensemble, which picked up third place at the International Contemporary Art Prize in Berlin. This design offers five fish tanks placed side by side, each with one fish inside it, with video cameras set up to track the movements of the fishes, translating the movements into sounds. It looks and sounds pretty classy, but we’re actually more interested to find out if rock music will be generated if we put more violent fish into the tanks. Check out a video of it in action after the jump.
