LG UX10 slate spotted at Computex

Tablets could very well be the next big ticket item in the world of gadgets thanks to the phenomenal iPad from Apple, moving a cool 2 million units worldwide since its launch a couple of months ago. LG wants some of the profit pie as well with the LG UX10 debuting at Computex in Taipei, albeit in a prototype form factor with the real deal slated to arrive before 2010 is over. Among the specifications include an Intel Atom Z530 processor, a 10.1″ capacitive LED touchscreen display, 1GB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI support and an SD memory card slot. Windows 7 Home Premium is the operating system of choice, but is it ideal as the a tablet OS?
