Jolicloud 1.1 looked at in greater detail
The Jolicloud 1.1 will be the logical upgrade of Jolicloud 1.0, where it will feature components that will help improve battery life, system stability, supported hardware, and overall quality of the operating system. Not only that, it will be able to play nice with several exotic components such as Nvidia ION, Intel Poulsbo, and touchscreen displays, boasting enhanced support for the latest CPU hardware including the recently released Atom N550. Netbooks will not be the only devices that benefit from Jolicloud 1.1 installed in them, as other computers will also be able to experience so as well. Some of the software changes found in Jolicloud 1.1 would be looked at in greater detail in the extended post, but know that Jolicloud 1.1 is the most stable version of the operating system just yet.
- Resync to Lucid (10.04) for base packages
- Maintained by Ubuntu for security and bug-fix purposes for three years.
- Future patches from Maverick (10.10) will be released under Jolicloud 1.1.
- Kernel upgraded to 2.6.35.4

- Newly optimized kernel selected for Atom CPUs, further enhancing the performance of the latest Atom N450 and N550 hardware.
- For all other non-netbook hardware, a standard kernel is used to maintain legacy support.
- X.org upgraded to X11R7.5
