Windows Phone 7 USB Tethering Discovered On Samsung Devices

One of the major downsides of many Windows Phone 7 devices out there is that the operating system doesn’t offer USB tethering. That being said, if you happen to own a Samsung Focus or Omnia 7, there might be hope for you as hacks have surfaced that enable the devices to be used as a 3G modem. According to reports, you’ll need to dial ##634# in order to get into the diagnostics menu, switch over to “Modem, Tethered Call” mode and go through a few more prompts, after that, you should be able to tether your device via USB. It’s good to see that folks are finding ways to get USB tethering on WP7-powered devices since it’s a rather important feature in this day and age.
