Augmented reality capability found in Mobile Safari browser?

Augmented reality (AR) technology is definitely impressive and popular amongst iPhone apps. Now some folks out there have discovered that the Mobile Safari browser seems to have an AR-like capability built into it that has pretty much gone unnoticed until now. A company called Occipital has developed a panoramic photo iPhone app and has come across the feature in Safari for iOS 4.2 devices that is related to the gyroscope (available in the iPhone 4 and latest iPod touch). This implementation allows you to experience the AR feel right in the browser itself and you can give it a test drive at http://occip.it/pt3dmqna using your Mobile Safari browser.
