Fujitsu Lifebook T580 arrives in the US at long last

Fujitsu’s Lifebook T580 has certainly taken its own sweet time in hitting the US market, a few months after it was announced. This 10.1-inch tablet PC is twice as expensive thereabouts compared to a standard convertible netbook, but there is a very good reason for that – you won’t find any Intel Atom processor inside, instead, it will run on a Core i3 or i5 processor, sporting a capacitive display with an N-trig digitizer that will play nice with both pen and finger input. If you have $1,149 to spare, the “Express Buy” model will come with a Core i3-380UM processor, 2GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive and a 5,800mAh six-cell battery, while the more expensive (by $250) Core i5-560UM processor is another option to consider. We don’t think this will perform spectacularly in the market though as there really isn’t such a huge demand for a device in this category at such specifications.
