Deutsche Telekom to roll out NFC payments with T-Mobile USA, NFC iPhone involved?

[MWC 2011] Deutsche Telekom, the parent company of T-Mobile, has announced that it’ll begin to launch NFC payment systems for phones across multiple markets this year and will have a full deployment in 2012. T-Mobile USA is going to be involved in the fun via the Isis initiative announced a while back in partnership with AT&T and Verizon. NFC contactless payment systems are something that should be increasingly popular over the years, but the real surprise is that an executive apparently mentioned Apple during the event, adding fuel to the rumors that Apple’s next-generation iPhone will feature an NFC chip. Considering how popular Apple’s iPhone already is, if the phone were to offer NFC support, it would definitely give the technology a significant boost. That being said, the final press release didn’t mention anything about support from Apple, so you might want to take this tidbit with a pinch of salt at the moment.
