Elitegroup ElitePad S10 arrives at the FCC

Anything that is set to be released in the US will first need to jump through some hoops over at the FCC, and the ElitePad S10 from Elitegroup of Taiwan is no exception, either. This Windows 7-powered tablet has arrived at the FCC, indicating a very possible US launch, where it will come with a 10.1” capacitive touchscreen display at 1366 x 768 resolution, powered by an Intel Atom Z760 1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera, HDMI out, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity with a Solid State Disk as its internal storage medium of choice. It is interesting to note that the S10 is a mere 13mm thin, making it easy to slip into your tote bag without causing any noticeable bulge. The device itself has less than 6 hours of juice, so that is definitely a huge minus point in our books. We would say that a good benchmark for tablet devices would be its battery life – anything that can last a trans-Atlantic flight while playing a movie the entire journey gets a thumbs up from us.
