Nintendo 3DS eShop delayed until June

Nintendo eShopIt’s amazing what can happen within 24 hours right? Yesterday, key features for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS firmware leaked out and today, Nintendo’s official statement is that the anticipated Nintendo eShop is…delayed.

Originally planned for a late May release, the eShop will be re-elaborated and touched more on most likely during Nintendo’s E3 kick-off press conference. It’s a bit of a bummer that Nintendo is making everyone wait again, but if it gets all the bugs and kinks ironed out in the first go, we won’t complain. Truthfully, I’m looking forward to all the old GameBoy and GameBoy color games that wil be on the Virtual Console and itching to see if the web browser has been improved (it’s no longer made by Opera). Anything you’re particularly excited for with the new firmware update?

The Nintendo 3DS‘s Nintendo eShop will now drop on June 6 in North America and June 7 in Europe and Japan. Tell us, are you looking forward to the planned cash system/game downloads overhaul?
