Soleasoft Studio’s iWay iOS navigation app is affordable

With our smartphones having the capabilities to double up as a portable navigation device, for those who are budget-conscious, they can save quite a bit by opting to use Google Maps instead of buying a dedicated navigation unit although Android users get to enjoy Google Maps Navigation for free. It features basics navigational capabilities and even allows you to search by voice, excellent for those times when you are driving. However there are certain apps on iOS such as TomTom which brings a chock-full of powerful navigational features and added extras to smartphones but unfortunately it also comes with a pretty hefty price tag.

If you’re in the market for an iOS navigational app that features turn-by-turn driving instructions, perhaps Soleasoft Studio’s latest offering could be what you need without breaking the bank.

Soleasoft Studio’s iWay GPS Navigation app for iOS appears to be a one-off purchase and does not require any monthly or yearly subscriptions while featuring turn-by-turn navigation, which is an extremely welcome feature for drivers, who may find that Google Maps tend to be a bit slow sometimes to update its position. It features  route calculations for driving, walking, or cycling; Google Maps & Local Search for POIs; several different real-time map views; email, SMS, and Facebook connectivity; and voice navigation in the background. It even comes with speed camera warnings for those of you who enjoy speeding.

Unfortunately we can’t really tell how this holds up against other navigational apps such as TomTom, but for $3.99 it’s an inexpensive way to find out.
