American Airlines offers Wi-Fi connectivity on all Boeing 767 flights

Can’t get enough of the Internet wherever you go, even when you are flying high up in the sky? Well, you might want to switch airlines for good if you aren’t a regular customer of American Airlines, simply because the airline has expanded its in-flight Wi-Fi program to the whole Boeing 767 fleet – where they will sport Gogo Wi-Fi in addition to a spanking new Entertainment On Demand system that will stream not only feature length movies, but TV shows as well, directly to your notebook or tablet.

Needless to say, a service like this would mean your seat should come with a power outlet so that you won’t have that sinking feeling of a drained gadget during the climax of a movie. The on-demand content that is available is touted to surpass 100 movies and TV shows – where they are all streamed from remote servers, so that you can view your movie even after the flight lands. You have 24 hours to complete your movie, while a TV show takes 72 hours. Don’t you see the irony in this? TV shows are shorter, and they have a longer “expiry date”, while far lengthier movies are given a mere 24 hour window.

You will have to fork out $0.99 for each TV show, while $3.99 is the asking price for each movie. [Press Release]
