Samsung Focus S visits the FCC, headed for AT&T

Samsung Focus S FCC

Those of you looking forward to getting your hand on Samsung’s next Windows Phone device, you’re in luck. The Samsung Focus S, the successor to the original Samsung Focus, might be headed our way soon. Over the weekend it has been reported that the Windows Phone device was spotted at the FCC. Armed with the approval of the Federal Communications Commission, it looks like the phone shouldn’t be too far away from reaching AT&T’s stores.

The phone is a significant upgrade over the original Focus, featuring a larger 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.4GHz processor, “4G”-connectivity (HSPA+), a thin 8.55mm profile, a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera. Jut think of the Galaxy S2 with Windows Phone 7 Mango slapped onto it instead of Android – which sounds like it could be a winner, considering how much everybody already loves the Galaxy S2. Stay tuned for more details.
