Samsung Galaxy Note spotted at the FCC

Samsung’s sexy upcoming Android device, the Galaxy Note 5.3 isn’t expected to be released until 2012, but it looks like the company has decided to get formalities out of the way first, as the large-screen phone has paid a visit to the offices of the FCC. Passing through without any issue, the Galaxy Note (GT-I9220) sports North American 3G/4G bands that are compatible with AT&T’s network. Other than that, no other additional details were revealed – then again, there’s not much we don’t know after its official unveiling earlier this month.

The Galaxy Note is a “phone-let” (too small to be a tablet, too large to be a phone) that packs a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a 5.3″ HD Super AMOLED display, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front facing camera, an S Pen interface and stylus, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and a 2,500mAh battery. Let’s hope the FCC filing of the Android device means it might drop earlier than expected. Anybody planning on picking one up when it goes on sale?
