Samsung releases extended battery bundle and cover for the Galaxy Nexus

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has officially launched on Verizon and so far nothing but good things has been said about the device. With its 4.65” Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board with 4G LTE connectivity, on paper it’s quite hard not to like. However the fact that it is running on 4G LTE connectivity is a drawback of its own as undoubtedly 4G LTE will drain the battery of your brand new device a lot quicker than you would like.

The good news is that Samsung has apparently anticipated this and has since released an extended battery pack/cover bundle for the Galaxy Nexus. This bundle will feature a 2,100mAh Lithium Ion Extended battery and a battery cover that should fit over the slightly larger and thicker battery. If you plan on abusing Verizon’s 4G LTE speeds all day and don’t want your phone to die on you before lunch time, you might want to give the battery pack/cover bundle kit some consideration. At $49.99 it doesn’t seem overly expensive and is currently available from Samsung’s website.
