Sprint Epic 4G Touch receives FCC teardown
Just in case you were wondering how come the Samsung Epic 4G Touch looks so familiar, that is because this is the Samsung Galaxy S2 version that was specially made for Sprint. I frankly do not like the idea of renaming the same device just because it is meant for a different manufacturer, as it does nothing but introduce all the more confusion among the general populace. You would really need to be tech savvy and do a whole lot of reading when you realize that two different names are of the same device, I mean, we aren’t even talking about a different language here. That aside, the September 2011 launched Galaxy S2 on Sprint was torn apart by the FCC, and photos of the teardown have finally been revealed, showing off a now all-too-familiar feature set which comprises of a 4.5” super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor, an 8-megapixel camera and Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread as the operating system of choice. Of course, you will also find a Qualcomm QSC6085 processor, Samsung’s very own SDRAM and flash memory within, accompanied by a Samsung Exynos processor that is flanked by a Toshiba ARM processor.
