The developer behind the famous third person shooter game, Shadowgun has just rolled out a new update for the iOS version of the game. According to the team at Madfinger Games, their update which has already been released will allow owners of the new iPad to play the game that has now been optimized for the device in all its high resolution glory. Since fans of the game have already paid for the app previously, the developer did not want to create a separate version for the new iPad which would require users to buy it again so it was released as an update.

According to Madfinger CEO Marek Rabas, “The updated game version supports native 2048 x 1536 iPad resolution and 4x Anti Aliasing and yet it still retains completely smooth gameplay. So it proves its extraordinary benchmark game qualities with an excellent graphics (sic) and easy-to-use controls.” Besides that the update also remedies repeating crashes that were reported by users. Rabas goes on to say that the crashes were due to some devices lacking in memory and to remedy the situation he explained, “We have been digging data savings out as long as we manage to solve this problem.” With the latest update apparently, it has been solved. So if you have been itching to play what is reported to be the world’s best selling third person shooter for mobile devices, click here to go to the iTunes link. If you haven’t already bought it, it will cost $2.99.
